As discussed please follow the below given steps to import the ubuntu image in virtual box.

Step 1:- Give name to a machine, after that select the type as Linux and then select the version as Ubuntu (64 Bit)


Step 2:- Select RAM size.


Step 3:- Select the option Use an existing virtual hard drive file and then click on yellow box.


Step 4:- Select the first file ubuntu.vmdk and then click on open option.


Step 5:- Click on create.

After that machine will be create in your virtual box.
