Cloudera is one of the top Hadoop certification vendor providing companies.
Most of our learner go with the Cloudera. Cloudera is the more popular and widely recognized of the two, and is also way more widely available, however most of the recruiters don't care about certification(whether it is from Cloudera or Hortonworks) because certification is mainly about basic concepts. It does not really ask you anything specific about a distribution from cloudera or any other focuses on fundamentals.
To achieve certification, one needs to have a good knowledge of entire Hadoop Architecture including Pig, Hive, Sqoop and Flume.

Rest is upon you as both will add value to your resume.
